Nicely detailed and unused c. 1940s real-photo postcard by a photographer named Dedman of an Indian cemetery near Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada! Small frame buildings house the remains of the dead. Someone's attached a small newspaper clipping to the back of the postcard, identifying this location as being north of town and adjacent to 4th Ave. Principal Indian tribes in the area are the Wolf and Crow. Small household items such as dishes, a pipe and tobacco, matches, etc. were often placed in these small houses, for the dead to use when they visited earth. A desirable First Nation or Canadian collectible in excellent condition!
