Exuberant and unusual graphics in this lavishly gilded and embossed, postally unused Valentine's Day postcard, c. 1907. Cupid wears a gold crown and is encircled in a ribbon of purple, the color of royalty. Card reads: "I send to you this purple Bow/A loyal one I Ween,/To pledge to you my vow/My Love, my Heart, my Queen." Cheerful and finely detailed spring daffodils complete the picture, as they rest on a lacy background. Graphically striking, and a desirable Valentine or holiday collectible in excellent condition.
