Great graphics in this unused c. 1947 postcard showing the merry-go-round, or carousel, at the Gayway Amusement Park at 115 Broadway Dr. in Seaside, OR. The 1918 antique C.W. Parker carousel, with music, was in Gayway Park behind the Times Theater, having arrived about 1947 from the Playland amusement park. It was dismantled in the 1980s, and four of the carved horses are now in Hood River, Oregon at the Carousel Museum. The reverse of the postcard says that the card was good for a free ride on the merry-go-round for any child under age 12. A desirable Clatsop County or amusement park collectible in excellent condition.
