Nicely detailed and unused c. 1930s to 1940s postcard advertising the Hamilton Loan Society which had offices in Philadelphia, Chester, PA and Wilmington, Delaware. The postcard's text is strangely appropriate to our times. One of their slogans reads: "Over 10,000 banks have failed, but not one Pennsylvania small-loan company." W. S. Herron was the president of the company, while Henry Ferris was the vice president and W. F. Buck was the secretary-treasurer. Philadelphia offices were at 201 Denckla Bldg. at 11th and Markets St. and at 4601 Frankford Ave. in Philadelphia. The Chester, PA offices were in the Crozer Bldg. and the Wilmington, DE offices were in the Equitable Bldg. A desirable banking collectible in excellent condition.
