Scarce 1907 undivided-back postcard of the New Mentz Hotel in Glasgow Junction (now renamed Park City), KY! Shows a large two-story frame hotel with a “Mentz Hotel” sign in the street-side gable and a standing seam tin roof. Has a Glasgow Junction postmark on the reverse. Interesting historical information, with sender writing of their train trip (the Louisville & Nashville Railroad): “Here we are a long way from home. Left Richfield Wednesday and arrived here last night. Stopped off at Chicago and Louisville. This is a picture of the hotel we are stopping at. Intend to stay here about a week.” Was signed by Mrs. W. Mentz in Glasgow Jct., c/o Ed. Mentz. A hard-to-find Barren County or railroadiana collectible in excellent condition!
