Oroville CA California State movie theater Butte County VintagePostcards.org: Old, Antique, Vintage Postcards

Great graphics in this unused 1960 chrome postcard of the State movie theater on Myers St. in downtown Oroville, CA. "Hell to Eternity" was playing at the time, starring Jeffrey Hunter, David Janssen and Vic Damone. The State opened in 1928. It seated 1,529, and had a Wurlitzer organ. The City of Oroville purchased the movie theater in 1983 and renovated it. Published by Eastman's of Susanville, and a desirable Butte County or theatrical collectible in excellent condition.
