Finely detailed and unused c. 1907 Art Nouveau-inspired New Year's greeting postcard! Elaborately rendered and heavily embossed, late Victoriana at its finest. The scene shows "Hope" above the sea, with a golden anchor bedecked with violets in the silvery waters below. Verse reads: "Whate'er may befall,/Whate'er may betide,/Let Hope be your Talisman,/Lighthouse and Guide." Published by the International Art Publishing Co. and no doubt the work of a known artist, although this example is unsigned. In near-mint condition, and a fine example of a holiday collectible!
