A classic 1899 undivided-back pioneer postcard by the Detroit Photographic Co. (number 5251) showing four Ute Indian children in tribal dress. Postmarked in 1903 in Winnipeg, Canada, with the sender, reflecting societal attitudes of the time, writing: "These are good types of Indian children." Sent to Miss Lizzie M. Borton of Apsley House in Berwick on Tweed in Scotland, and a desirable Canadian or native American collectible in very good condition, showing wear around the edges as might be expected with a postcard of this age, but with an intact image area.
