Scarce and unusual Azo Tri 1 real-photo postcard, c. 1904-1910, which is of a finely detailed artist’s rendering showing a brick structure bearing the inscription “Grand Compartment - Mausoleum, Mt. Gilead O.” at the bottom of the image. Postally unused, although addressed to Mrs. P. W. Cox from her aunt, who wrote: “This is a picture of the mausoleum in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.” Photo by McKinnon & Jago. (This is probably George Jago, who was a charter member of the local Odd Fellows chapter. Mount Gilead Lodge No. 169 was founded on 20 October 1850.) A desirable Morrow County collectible in excellent condition!
