Scarce unused c. 1907-1914 fantasy advertising postcard for the Public Benefit Boot Company and Lennards Ltd., which was headquartered in London, England with over 150 branches in cities such as Bristol, Leicester and Manchester. Shows a young boy piloting a biplane, British flag flying, as he carries a box containing boots and shoes high over London. The reverse says: "This is an age of progress. Are you one of the two million customers wearing boots provided by the Public Benefit Boot Company - British Capital, British Labour. The Trade Mark Lennards is a household word...How soon will it be possible for your boots and shoes to be delivered by Aeroplane?" A desirable advertising, aviation or fantasy collectible in very good condition.
