Scarce 1911 real-photo postcard of the horse races at Illiopolis, Illinois during Carnival Week in October 1911! Many spectators on bleachers, with a foreground wooden tower reached via a wooden ladder with several men in it who are probably the race judges. Early automobile in foreground bears license plate No. 373294. View was taken in the back of the race track, which no longer exists. Nicely detailed, and a desirable Sangamon County, horse racing or carnival collectible in very good condition!
