Great graphics in this unused c. 1950s postcard of the Hotel Greenville in Greenville, ME and its ground-level Indian Store, with a sign saying "buy from Indians!" A dairy bar named the Dairy Chief offered frozen custard, and post cards were advertised for sale in a window of the Indian Store. The hotel and Indian store are located in a Second Empire-style building, c. 1865-1875, and thus the first floor changes are an interesting cultural accretion for this Victorian structure. Very nicely detailed, photo by Paul Knaut, Jr., and a desirable Native Americana, deltiology or Piscataquis County collectible in excellent condition!
