Unusual subject matter in this c. 1904-1915 real-photo postcard of a Garfield, Ohio area woman proudly displaying her needlework! Looks like embroidery and crewel work on the many nicely done pillows, with a handwoven rug at her feet. Her little dog poses proudly beside her, next to a substantial frame Victorian home with elaborate gingerbread trimmed panels between the porch rails. An unusual day-to-day glimpse into womens' history of the time. Slight tear in area of the woven rug doesn't materially detract. A desirable Jackson County, social history or needlework collectible in very good condition!
