Scarce unused 1909 postcard of the then-bustling gold and silver mining town of Eureka, Utah. Originally known as Ruby Hallow, Eureka was incorporated as a city in 1892 and soon became the financial center of the Tintic Mining District. One of Utah's top mineral producing areas, Eureka was home to the "Big Four" mines: Bullion Beck and Champion; Centennial Eureka; Eureka Hill; and Gemini. Later, the Chief Consolidated Mining Co. was prominent in the area. As of the 2000 census, the population was 766. Eureka is now part of the Provo–Orem, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. A desirable mining or Juab County collectible in good condition.
