Dramatic unused 1934 Curteich linen postcard of the Art Deco Dallas Power & Light Building in downtown Dallas, TX at 1506 Commerce St. Lang & Witchell were the architects for this 18-story Dallas landmark, which was built in 1931. Built by Gardner & Howe Engineers and C. L. Shaw & Co. and later the home of Texas Utilities, the building has a black marble base, with brick and terra cotta trim applied to the rest of the facade. In 2005 and following renovation by Hamilton Properties Corp., the building was reopened as a mixed-use complex of apartments, a conference center and retail space. A desirable Dallas County or Art Deco collectible in excellent condition.
