Great c. 1962 postcard of famed Acadian hooked rug folk artist Elizabeth LeFort's "tapestries" of America's first team of astronauts, in order of flight! She's known as Canada's "artist in wool"; each of these tapestries measures 17 x 20 inches and contains from 20 to 60 different shades of color. A Petley view, published by Paul Pix of Margaree Harbor, NS, and a desirable Canadian collectible in near-mint condition. (The Paul Pix Shop was built in 1951 by Toronto businessman Kenneth Hansford, who was Miss LeFort's patron. The shop provided a means for LeFort to demonstrate her rug hooking craft and provided an outlet for sales.)
