Nicely detailed and unused c. 1930s postcard of the American Red Cross building at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Established in 1917, Camp Shelby is the largest state-owned and operated field training site in the country. It was acquired by the State of Mississippi in 1934 for use as a National Guard summer camp; however, it reopened as a federal facility in 1940. Published by D. E. Levine of Hattiesburg, and a desirable Forrest County or militaria collectible in excellent condition.
