Once upon a time, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a young woman with the improbable name of Georgia Fruit (yes, really) lived in the northeastern corner of Christian County, near Hopkinsville, KY. Postcard collecting was at its zenith and sending postcards to friends was all the rage. Ms. Fruit received many postcards.
