Handsome unused c. 1940s EKC postcard of the notable Van Dockery grandfather's clock at the Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, KY! The c. 1800 clock, made of applewood, was 8.5 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Whatever happened to this clock? It was gone long before the disastrous fire at the Talbott Tavern. Finely detailed and sharply focused, of great clarity, and photographed by noteworthy photographer William Cline of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Marked as No. 3-A-29. A desirable Nelson County or clockmaking collectible in excellent condition!
