Finely detailed 1907 postcard of the Humboldt Glacier in North Greenland! Discovered and named by Dr. E. K. Kane in 1853, the glacier was 60 miles long and 300 feet high. Tiny human figures and a boat in the foreground show the scale of the glacier. Artist-signed by A. Operti. Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons, as part of their "Arctic Regions" postcard series, this one being No. 7339 and an Oilette. A desirable Antarctica or artist-signed collectible in very good condition!
