Finely detailed and unused c. 1901-1907 undivided-back postcard of Carlyle House in Old Town, Alexandria, VA. Carlyle house, completed in 1753, was a center of social and political life in pre-Revolutionary War Alexandria, when Alexandria was an economic powerhouse. This colonial home, on the National Register of Historic Places, is the only stone, 18th-century Palladian-style house in the city. Published by Rotograph, and a desirable Fairfax County or architectural history collectible in excellent condition.
